About RFID Blocking Card
A blocking card defends the cards around it. The passive version is a laminated shielding layer that absorbs and detunes the 13.56 MHz field; the active version harvests the reader’s own energy to power a jamming circuit that disrupts communication across the wallet — no battery, activated only when a reader tries to read. Does it block all my cards?
One card protects the others in the same wallet or sleeve.
Does one blocking card protect my whole wallet?
The active version disrupts reads across a normal bifold; the passive version protects adjacent slots. For maximum coverage put one card in each fold, which is how promo pairs are often gifted.
Does the active card need a battery?
No — it harvests power from the attacking reader’s own field, so it works for years with no maintenance and activates only when a read is attempted.
