About RFID Blocking Sleeves
Sleeves are the simplest, cheapest RFID protection: an aluminum-laminate paper or Tyvek envelope that encloses the card or passport in a Faraday shield. Nothing to activate, nothing to wear out — the card inside is unreadable until it is pulled out to pay. Passport sleeves additionally cover the e-passport chip page against doorway skimming.
As print products they take edge-to-edge CMYK on both faces, which is why they work as direct-mail inserts and conference handouts: flat, light, letter-mailable and used daily. Card and passport sizes run as standard; custom die-cuts (thumb notches, closure flaps) are available at modest tooling cost.
