About Industrial IoT DTU / RTU
A DTU is a transparent serial-to-cellular pipe: whatever your meter or PLC speaks on RS232/485 arrives at your server over 4G. An RTU adds intelligence at the edge — local I/O, Modbus polling, threshold alarms and logic that acts even when the network does not. Choosing between them is a workflow question: pure transport, or edge decisions too.
Field reliability is the whole product: watchdog reconnection, store-and-forward caching that backfills data after outages, wide 9–36 V power tolerance and DIN-rail industrial housings.
