In depth

About UHF RFID Label

UHF labels are the workhorse of item-level retail and supply-chain visibility: an 860–960 MHz inlay under a printable face, read in bulk at dock doors and by handheld sweeps metres away. Chip generation matters — Impinj M730/M750 and NXP UCODE 9 read faster and further at smaller antenna sizes than older silicon, which shrinks label footprints on packaging.

Two program-level details we handle up front: band tuning (ETSI 866 MHz vs FCC 915 MHz antennas behave differently — global programs need broadband designs) and serialization (SGTIN-96 EPC schemes generated from your GS1 prefix, managed duplicate-free across orders). Both are locked before the first production roll.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What read range do UHF labels achieve?

Around 1–10 m depending on inlay, printer and reader.

Can you pre-encode EPC data?

Yes, pre-encoded and serialized, or supplied blank.

Do we need different labels for Europe and the US?

Single-region programs get band-optimized antennas; global supply chains get broadband inlays that perform acceptably across 860–960 MHz. Tell us the read geography and we spec accordingly.

Can you manage EPC serialization for us?

Yes — send your GS1 company prefix and SKU list; we generate SGTIN-96 EPCs, encode and verify them, and deliver the allocation file for your systems.

How do you handle our encoding data and keys?

Under NDA. Keys, card numbers and encoding files are used only to produce your order, stored no longer than production requires, and deleted on request after delivery.

What minimum order does UHF RFID Label carry?

1,000 pcs is the standard starting volume; configuration changes can shift it, so share your numbers and we will confirm.

How is UHF RFID Label priced at volume?

Expect roughly $0.05–$0.28 per pc FOB Shenzhen before volume breaks — final pricing follows your exact spec and quantity.
