About NFC Business Card
An NFC business card encodes an NDEF record — usually a URL to your profile, booking page or vCard — on an NTAG chip that NFC-enabled phones read with a tap, no third-party app installed. NTAG213 (~144 bytes usable) covers a short link; NTAG215 (~504 B) and 216 (~888 B) add room for richer offline vCards. The smart move is encoding a redirect URL on a domain you control, so destinations update without re-issuing cards — and links can be revoked or re-assigned when someone leaves the team.

Frequently asked questions
Does the recipient need an app?
No third-party app on either platform. iPhone XS/XR and newer read NFC in the background from a plain tap; iPhone 7–X read via the built-in Control Center NFC scanner (iOS 14+). NFC-enabled Androids read on tap once NFC is on. We recommend printing a QR code on the card as the fallback for the remaining cases.
Can I update the linked profile later?
Yes — encode a redirect URL and change the destination anytime. Use a redirect domain you own: if links run through a third-party profile service, continuity and visitor data stay under that service’s control, not yours.
Which phones can read the card?
iPhone XS/XR and newer read NTAG tags in the background — tap the top of the phone and a banner opens, no app. iPhone 7 through X can read via the built-in Control Center NFC scanner on iOS 14+, which the user must open first. NFC-enabled Androids (the large majority of models sold in recent years) read on tap with NFC switched on. Phones with NFC off, thick cases or no NFC hardware fall back to the printed QR code, which we recommend including in the artwork.
Do metal NFC cards read as well as PVC ones?
No — metal shortens read range and makes positioning matter more. Our metal and hybrid bodies use a ferrite isolation layer or a non-metal antenna window so the chip reads reliably, and we mark the tap zone on the artwork. Confirm the experience on your own phones with free pre-production samples before the full run.
How do team orders with individual data work?
Send a sheet of names and URLs; we encode and print each card to its person, QC-scan every unit, and label the batch for easy distribution.
How do you handle our encoding data and keys?
Under NDA. Keys, card numbers and encoding files are used only to produce your order, stored no longer than production requires, and deleted on request after delivery.
How many pcs do I need to order NFC Business Card?
